The Community Engagement Team (CET) focuses on building positive relationships with the campus community. The Community Engagement Team (CET) at UMPD participates in community meetings, campus safety resources presentations, parent orientations, student orientations and many other national events; like National Night Out, Drug Take Back, Toys For Tots and more. Our team is interested in maintaining a strong connection to the community through respectful communication and partnership. The team includes a student intern in partnership with International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS), a civilian community liaison, a UMPD officer and a UMPD Sergeant.

Each member of the team focuses on a specific area within the university community. The policing climate and community expectations continue to evolve. Our team wants to connect with you, it is clear this is a time of great need for collective efforts. To request the Community Engagement Team at your event, contact Sergeant Ashlee Lange at [email protected]

We are available to host crime prevention and personal safety presentations for our University Community.
